About Appsync Data

A Wan Chai practice built around one stubborn question: does the revenue on the face of the accounts match the contracts behind it?

Why we exist

Revenue is where commercial creativity and accounting discipline collide. Appsync Data was formed in Hong Kong to give finance leaders an independent pair of eyes on recognition — before a disagreement with auditors or investors becomes a restatement conversation.

We are not a generalist accounting firm. Our work centres on financial auditing of revenue streams: how performance obligations are identified, how transaction price is allocated, and whether cut-off matches the economic event.

Where we work

Our office is at Hopewell Centre, 183 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Fieldwork often happens at the client’s premises so we can sit with contract files, billing systems, and the people who know the exceptions. Hybrid delivery is available when schedules or multi-entity groups require it.

People and approach

Our practitioners combine financial audit experience with close reading of customer agreements. We prefer small engagement teams, named leads, and memos written for controllers who must defend positions — not for marketing decks.

We value clarity over volume: fewer samples done thoroughly beat a thick binder of unchecked tick marks. We also value candour; if the evidence does not support current recognition, we say so early enough to act.

Credentials in context

Engagements are led by professionals with background in Hong Kong financial reporting and IFRS-based group accounts. We work alongside your statutory auditor when invited, without claiming to replace their opinion.

Working with us

Most relationships start with a short scoping call, a written outline, and a fixed fee for a defined population and period. Read how an engagement runs or request a scoping call.
